September 25, 2007

Meeting was called to order by chair, Charles Brown.

Introductions were made.
SAC Operational Guidelines were reviewed with each member receiving a copy. Guidelines were approved as presented on motion by Anne Frisina and second by Gina DaMaia.

Budget adjustment: $25,000 + was added to extra duty days via approval by Lead Teachers. SMS also received $11,000 + dedicated to course retrieval (currently 2 students are enrolled.)

The 2007-2008 School Improvement Plan was presented and reviewed. All areas were addressed noting that approximately a rise of 4% was the goal for the coming year (this is to include all students and all sub-populations.) The estimated Professional Development Budget was discussed. The allocation of SIP Dollars was approved with a motion by Gina DaMaia and a second by Anne Frisina. The School Improvement Plan was accepted in its entirety on a motion by Ben Pinegar and second by Marti Watson.

Kris Howard (PTSO representative) will represent SMS at the annual PALS Leadership Training.

Meeting time was addressed with 5:00 -6:30 pm being designated as the official time for meetings. Meeting dates (the second Tuesday of the month) was approved with changes in meeting dates to be made by Traci Doubley, administrative assistant to Karen Rose.

Gina DaMaia motioned with Anne Frisina seconding that the meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
