Don’t Leave Your Child’s Future to Chance!
Help your child take control and learn about Florida Choices and e-PEP. The presenters, from the Florida Department of Education, are experts on these programs and will explain how your child will use e-PEP to create their four year high school academic plan and how students will use Choices to obtain information on many different careers that they may be interested in pursuing.

SMS Panther Patrol honored in Washington, DC

Sarasota Middle School, SRO Rob Crane, and Guidance Counselor Marti Watson were honored in Washington D.C by General (Ret.) Colin Powell and his wife, Alma Powell.
   The Character Education Partnership (CEP), selected Sarasota Middle School's Panther Patrol as a model for others to possibly replicate and integrate into their character education initiatives. 
  The SMS Panther Patrol will also be featured in the 2008 National Schools of Character Book published for school-based administrators.

  Electronic Devices Must 
   Remain at Home
 
Students are not permitted to have electronic devices on campus, other than a cell phone. The cell phone must remain off and in the backpack during the school day. Students must leave other devices at home. Some examples of these devices include: Game Boys, MP3 players, IPods, Nanos, CD players, headphones and cameras. Please make sure that your student(s) leave their electronic devices at home.
